Reunited

By Mandy

Updated 12-19-00

She sat alone in the living room of her apartment. It had been three months, but it still felt different. She thought back to the day she had left.

(Flashback)

"You know, maybe we should just split up," she said. She was angry, but kept her voice calm.

"That might be best," he replied.

"Fine, I'll move out as soon as possible," she said.

(End of Flashback)

"It's hard to believe that was three months ago," Ivy thought to herself.

Although they had separated, Ivy and Julian remained on friendly terms. She spoke to him and saw him more than she did when they were together. All of a sudden, there was a knock at the door. When Ivy answered it, she wasn't at all surprised at who stood on the other side.

"Julian, what brings you here?"

"I just came by to see how you're doing," he replied.

"Please, come in," Ivy said, shutting the door behind him and then joining him in the living room. "You know, you're more concerned about me now then when we were together," she said.

"Yes, well back then you did live in the same house." He paused. "So, how are you Ivy?"

"I'm doing just fine. How about you?"

"Not bad. You know, Ethan and Pilar miss you around the mansion," he told her.

"I know. I miss them too."

After a few moments of silence, Julian asked, "You do remember that we go to court to finalize the divorce tomorrow, right?"

"Yes, yes I remember. What day is tomorrow anyway?"

After a moment's hesitation, Julian said, "Tomorrow is May 8."

Ivy's eyes widened. "Our anniversary." She looked at Julian, and said, "Do you get the feeling that we're making a huge mistake? Because I certainly do."

"I was afraid that I was the only one that felt that way Ivy," he said.

She got up out of the chair and joined him on the sofa. "I've felt like that since the day we split up. I think getting divorced would be something we'd regret for the rest of our lives."

Julian put his arms around Ivy and pulled her to him. "I feel the same way. I don't think we should go through with this," he told her.

"All right. Tomorrow, you call your lawyers, I'll call mine, and we'll tell them that we're not going through with the divorce," she said.

"I'm glad we realized this before it was too late."

"So am I," she replied. And then, she kissed him.

"Come on. let's go home. We'll get your stuff tomorrow," he said, getting up off the sofa.

"Wonderful idea," she replied. With that, they headed back to the mansion.
